Posted Wednesday, April 23rd 2014 @ 11am  by Talk Radio 105.7 FM / 570 AM

FIERCE WINDS, TUESDAY AFTERNOON, KNOCKED OUT ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO THOUSANDS OF UTAH CUSTOMERS.

IT ALSO KNOCKED OVER AT LEAST TWO SEMI TRUCKS, IN THE TREMONTON AREA.

POWER REPAIR CREWS WORKED THROUGH THE NIGHT -- BUT SEVERAL THOUSAND CUSTOMERS WERE STILL IN THE DARK, WEDNESDAY MORNING.

ONE OF THE TRUCK DRIVERS WAS HOSPITALIZED -- IN SERIOUS CONDITION -- BUT EXPECTED TO RECOVER.

SEVERAL AFTERNOON COMMUTE FENDER-BENDER ACCIDENTS WERE ALSO BEING BLAMED, AT LEAST IN PART, ON HIGH WINDS BLOWING VEHICLES.
