Multiple Felony Charges All Start With a Suspect Running a Red Light

A WEST JORDAN POLICE OFFICER IS LUCKY TO BE ALIVE, AFTER HAVING A GUN POINTED AT HIM, AS HE PURSUED SUSPECTS -- IN A HIGH-SPEED CHASE -- ABOUT 2:30 THURSDAY MORNING.

THE DRIVER, DESTINY MCBRIDE, 20, AND HER PASSENGER, JERROL THOMAS, 26 -- WERE FINALLY STOPPED, WITH A POLICE 'PIT MANEUVER, NEAR I-15 AND BANGERTER HIGHWAY.

POLICE SARGEANT DAN ROBERTS SAYS, STOLEN JEWELRY, CASH, GUNS AND DRUGS WERE FOUND INSIDE THEIR VEHICLE.

POLICE HAVE VERIFIED, AT LEAST ONE OF THE GUNS IS STOLEN... AND THE OTHER HAS ALTERED SERIAL NUMBERS.

THE PAIR ARE EXPECTED TO FACE MULTIPLE FELONIES.

THE CHASE BEGAN WHEN MCBRIDE RAN A RED LIGHT, ON REDWOOD ROAD, AT 70TH SOUTH.
