TWO WEST VALLEY CITY RESIDENTS WERE BEING QUESTIONED TUESDAY MORNING, AFTER FINALLY SURRENDERING TO POLICE AND SWAT TEAM MEMBERS, AT THEIR HOME NEAR 41ST WEST, 36TH SOUTH.

POLICE SAY NEIGHBORS HAD REPORTED HEARING GUNSHOTS IN THEIR HOME... AND THE PAIR, INITIALLY, REFUSED TO COME OUTSIDE.

ASSISTANT POLICE CHIEF MIKE POWELL SAYS THE INCIDENT BEGAN ABOUT 2:30 TUESDAY MORNING.

POLICE HAVE NOT YET CONFIRMED WHETHER SHOTS WERE FIRED.

THERE WAS ALSO NO WORD -- LATE TUESDAY MORNING -- WHETHER EITHER OF THE RESIDENTS WOULD BE CHARGED WITH CRIMES.

THERE WERE NO INJURIES.
